Kirstie is so exceptional, we would need to invent new superlatives to adequately describe all that she gives of herself to care for and train her dogs. Whenever our puppy sees Kirstie, she literally jumps into Kirstie’s arms. And for good reason. Kirstie has been nothing short of a godsend for us as older adults who have had our share of medical emergencies. For that reason, we have turned to Kirstie for support, and she has been steadfast in her willingness to be there for us, for Lulu. Kirstie’s unconventional technique is almost magical. She infuses into her dog training and boarding programs a true sense of love and adventure. That, I think, is what sets her apart. Our Lulu has so many “friends” to play with, and because Kirstie keeps her clients updated with videos of their dogs during outings and trainings, we get to see how happy Lulu and friends seem to be, and how they each receive Kirstie’s encouragement and affection. Kirstie and Nick are amazing and Kiwi Dog Training Academy has totally changed my life. My 9 pound Shichon Estelle was a true pandemic puppy who was very nervous around other dogs and I was an equally anxious owner who let my dog run the house. I searched for so long to find a trainer who I felt comfortable with and who I knew would truly care for Estelle and help me give her the best life. I am so happy I found Kirstie and Nick! It has been a month since Estelle participated in the 2 week boarding and training program and she has grown so much. I am now able to communicate with Estelle and she is so much more confident. We enrolled our 1-year-old Cavapoo in a full training program with Kirstie, focusing on obedience, puppy development, collar training, and off-leash skills. From the start, Kirstie demonstrated exceptional professionalism. She is straightforward, direct, and communicates clearly and effectively. Her energy, intelligence, and deep understanding of canine behavior make her an outstanding trainer.
Since completing the program, our dog has shown remarkable improvement in listening, sitting, and overall calmness. He now attends weekly camp sessions with Kirstie, and we continue to see consistent progress.

We sent our two mini-dachshunds, Toro and Timber, to the two-week board and train. We are so happy with the results! Since the training their re-call has been great and we have even had them on off-leash walks where appropriate. We are expecting our first child soon and as an added bonus the board and train program gave our pups exposure to walking with a stroller and being around around a 1-year old. The 'place' command has been my favorite and has made it really easy to get the dogs to hop up on a chair and sit there while I put their leashes on. Finally, Kirstie is super communicative and sent us lots of pictures, videos, and updates which we loved and really appreciated.

There are no words to truly describe the amazing work Kirstie has done with my dog Suki. She has turn my girl into a behaved pup I owe everything to Kirstie. My Suki was so bad behaved I had a hard time with her responding to me she would run away and to get her back the neighbors had to help. But ever since i got her into the program with Kirstie my girl has done a whole 180 Not only I get compliments from people I am able to take her out every where best thing is she listens to all commands. I recommend this academy I wouldn’t recommend any other place to take your pet. She cares for your pet as if it was her own and loves them. She is reliable caring, compassionate and always there when I need her. It took me a long time to find someone as great as this place. Best thing is my Suki loves her and your dog always knows who treat them right and who treat them wrong. I love how much she did with Suki I brought my boyfriend dog too.
I love love love Kirstie and her company! She and Nick are amazing people and amazing trainers. My dog Mia went through the 2 week training program and she currently goes to daycare with them once a week. Mia LOVES hanging out with Kirstie, Nick and the pack. (Also super convenient they pick up and drop off!!) The ecollar training has significantly helped Mia and I manage her triggers, be able confidently train, go on long walks with less and less reactivity and do fun things! Before this training I would avoid long walks with Mia and avoid doing certain things because I didn’t have the tools to manage Mia’s reactivity and help her figure out her emotions. Mia and I communicate so much better now and our bond is stronger! Along with being a great trainer, Kirstie has been such an understanding and supportive friend to me since we’ve started. My family has been going through a tough time since June and she has been so amazing through it all. Honestly so lucky to have found her!
